Overview
Shaws 90mm Basket Strainers are made in Italy and designed specifically to fit our thick-wall fireclay sinks. Each strainer features a ceramic insignia to match the Shaws fireclay sinks, and come in a range of special metal finishes to complement your tapware.
When ordering a basket strainer in a specific finish, your order will include an overflow cover ring in the same finish.
Please note that all metal basket strainer finishes – including Raw Brass – feature a durable PVD coating. The only exception is the White basket strainer, which is manufactured from ABS plastic rather than metal.
To maintain the appearance and longevity of PVD finishes, avoid the use of corrosive cleaning products including bleach, hydrogen peroxide, hydrofluoric acid, chlorine-based cleaners, or cleaners that produce active oxygen. These substances may damage the finish. We recommend cleaning with a soft cloth and pH-neutral liquid soap only.

Installation Advice
- When installing a basket strainer or sink drain/waste, please clean each surface with mineral turpentine and apply a sufficient amount of silicone sealant around the metal waste before fixing in place. This ensures a tight seal to prevent water from draining under the flange when the sink is filled. After tightening, be sure to clean any excess silicone from around the waste before it dries.
