Marquis warranty applies to the Marquis range of vanities, mirrors, shaving cabinets, furniture and kitchens manufactured. In the unlikely event that you identify a defect in the product that is attributable to manufacturing or materials, Marquis will rework or replace at our good will. (Please keep a copy of your proof of purchase). Please ensure that the product is inspected before installation. If damage has occurred in transit and/or a visible defect exists, do not proceed with installation. Please contact the retailer you purchased the product from immediately. The warranty will be void if defective product is installed and damage occurs due to improper maintenance, miss handling, installation or use. Marquis liability is limited to repair, replacing or a refund for the faulty goods, and it does not include installation and/or any other trades services. Products are manufactured with high quality moisture resistant materials but are not waterproof. Excessive water and sunlight exposure and other environmental conditions will factor in our guarantee assessment. All materials and componentry purchased by Marquis are of high quality and comply with Australian Standards. Marquis cabinetry carries a Lifetime manufacturers warranty and proprietary items purchased by Marquis, including electrical (light fittings), hardware, bench tops and mirror glass, are not guaranteed by our company but will be subject to their manufacturer’s warranty. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Marquis have endeavored to make our bathroom furniture as water resistant as possible however we do advise it is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the product is installed and maintained properly.

Mirrors and shaving cabinets

Care should always be taken to avoid getting mirror edges wet with any liquid or substance. This can result in damage to the edges commonly called ‘black edge’. Should your mirror become wet it should be dried off immediately. The following are recommendations from manufacturers of quality mirrors: The very best and safest cleaner for a mirror is clean, warm water used with a soft lint-free cloth. Wring all water from the cloth before wiping the mirror. Dry the mirror immediately with a dry lint-free cloth. Don’t use acid or alkali cleaners for mirror clean up after installation as either substance can attack the front surface and edges as well as the backing of the mirror. No abrasive cleaners should ever be used on any mirror surface. Don’t spray cleaners directly onto the mirror. Always apply cleaner directly to a soft lint-free cloth and then wipe the mirror. This will help prevent the cleaner from contacting the edges of the mirror to reduce damage potential. Don’t use commercial mirror cleaners that contain ammonia or vinegar.
