Warranty

Caroma products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Caroma additionally provide a manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship; the applicable period depends on the product category and on whether the installation is residential or commercial.

Caroma state a 20 year warranty for this product in its published specification.

The current warranty terms, the periods for each product category and the claim procedure are set out in Caroma’s published warranty document, linked in the downloads for this product. Warranty periods run from the date of purchase and require installation by a licensed plumber in accordance with the installation instructions and the applicable standards.

Care & cleaning

• For regular daily cleaning, remove the majority of dirt and grime by wiping with a moist, soapy sponge or cloth, then rinsing off with water.
• When wiping, apply minimal pressure and wipe in only one direction.

Metal:

• Avoid harsh detergents and abrasive cleaners — they scratch the surface very easily.
• If the product remains dry during use, a soft cloth removes surface dust; otherwise wipe down with warm, soapy water.
• Avoid cleaning products containing chlorides and halides (bromine, iodine, fluorine), and do not use disinfectants on stainless steel parts and components.
• Do not use hydrochloric acid: it causes pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
• Avoid wax-based furniture cream — it builds up deposits that spoil the appearance of the product.
• For coloured and plated finishes (gold, black and similar), clean carefully with a soft dry cloth, or a soft cloth with warm, soapy water.

For stubborn stains, use a damp sponge or cloth with a mild abrasive cream or paste cleanser: apply light pressure in wide circular motions, rinse the surface, then wipe lightly in a circular motion and rinse thoroughly.
