Refund policy

Effective Date: 16 September 2026

This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms of Trade and should be read with our Delivery & Returns page and Warranty Policy.

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify those rights.

Where goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee, customers may be entitled to a remedy depending on the circumstances, including repair, replacement, refund or reimbursement of reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

2. Returns and Change of Mind

All returns must be authorised by Sydney Taps before goods are returned.

Where Sydney Taps agrees to accept a change-of-mind return, goods must:

  • Be unused
  • Be uninstalled
  • Be in original condition
  • Be free from damage or signs of wear
  • Have original packaging intact
  • Be suitable for resale

Approved change-of-mind returns may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Original delivery charges are non-refundable and return freight is the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.

Special-order, custom-made and made-to-order products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.

This section does not apply to goods that are faulty, defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied, or where a remedy is otherwise available under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be made in writing.

Cancellation of an order is subject to the status of the order and whether goods have already been ordered, manufactured, dispatched or specially sourced.

Special-order, custom-made and non-stock products may not be cancellable once an order has been placed with the supplier.

Where cancellation is permitted, reasonable costs already incurred by Sydney Taps may apply.

4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Inspect all goods as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery or collection and before installation, and report any visible damage, shortage or incorrect goods to Sydney Taps promptly, together with clear photographs.

Genuine product faults are handled under our Warranty Policy and the Australian Consumer Law. The remedy depends on the nature of the issue and may include repair, replacement, supply of an equivalent product or refund.
